Monarca is a printed newspaper that sheds light on persistent social issues in Mexico, including colorism, sexism, and fat phobia. The publication combines editorial design with investigative storytelling to highlight voices and experiences that are often overlooked. As part of the project, I interviewed actress Miranda Treviño, who shared her own perspective and struggles as a woman navigating these challenges within the entertainment industry. Monarca serves as both a visual and cultural commentary, using design as a tool to amplify conversations that are vital to Mexican society today.
